- Data they can read: price, stock, delivery date, return policy and specifications.
- Trust signals: reviews, clear policies, and a business the agent can verify.
- A checkout they can complete, via emerging protocols, with the customer's approval.
Your beautiful banner doesn't help with any of that. Your product data does.
The standards forming
- Personal Agent Protocol (Sierra and Meta): how an agent signs in to a business and acts for a customer. Specification due in October 2026.
- Universal Commerce Protocol (co-developed by Google) and Visa's Trusted Agent Protocol cover overlapping ground.
- Payment providers like Stripe are building agent payment flows.

How an Indian store prepares
- Complete product data: sizes, materials, colours, real stock, and delivery estimates by pincode.
- Product structured data on every product page.
- Policies in text: returns, COD and shipping, not inside images.
- A fast, server-rendered store, which agents and Google can both read.
- A platform that will support agent protocols. Shopify is a founding partner, and WooCommerce plugins and custom integrations will follow.
