Apple released iOS 27 on September 14, 2026, with its AI-powered Siri in beta for English. Support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish follows in October, and outlets like BGR expect that to arrive as iOS 27.1. Apple hasn't confirmed the 27.1 version number or its date, so treat "late October" as likely rather than certain. It also isn't initially available in the EU.
What's confirmed
- iOS 27 released September 14 as a free update.
- Siri AI is in beta, English first.
- More languages in October.
- EU availability comes later.
Sources disagree on which iPhones get the full Siri AI features, with some citing iPhone 15 Pro and newer and others iPhone 17 for certain features. Check Apple's support pages for your model.
Why app makers and website owners should care
Siri is becoming an agent, not just a voice search. As assistants learn to take actions across apps, the businesses that are easiest for them to understand get the traffic:
- Your website's structured data matters more. Opening hours, prices, products, FAQs: assistants read structured, server-rendered pages far more reliably than content hidden behind scripts or inside images.
- App integrations become a channel. If you have an iOS app, exposing key actions to the system (booking, reordering, tracking) lets Siri trigger them.
- Answers need to be direct. Assistants quote pages that state an answer plainly. That's the same thing that wins Google's AI Overviews.
What I'd do this quarter
Audit your website for the questions customers ask most, make sure each has a clear, crawlable answer, and add the right structured data. It helps Google, Siri and every other assistant at once.
At NextGen Fusion, our web development company in Lucknow, we build websites that are ready for AI assistants: fast, server-rendered, and properly marked up.
