Website Development in Jaipur for Jewellery & Handicrafts

Online stores for Jaipur jewellers, block-print textile makers, handicraft exporters and heritage hotels: product photography, trust, export and bookings.

3 min read

Jaipur sells to the world: gemstones and jewellery from Johari Bazaar, block-printed textiles from Sanganer and Bagru, blue pottery, and stays in heritage havelis. A Jaipur business's website often has two audiences at once, Indian buyers and international ones, and it has to earn the trust of both for products where quality is hard to judge on a screen.

Jewellery: selling trust online

Jewellery is the hardest category to sell online because a buyer can't touch the piece or check its quality. The website has to do that work:

  • Photography that shows scale and detail. Every piece on a model or hand, close-ups of settings and stones, and a short video where you can.
  • Certification and specifications: metal purity, stone details and certificates, stated plainly on each product page.
  • Policies that remove risk: returns, exchanges, buyback, insured shipping. These make or break a first purchase.
  • Clear categories: fine jewellery, silver, gemstone, bridal, everyday. Buyers browse by occasion and budget more than by product type.

I've built several jewellery stores, including Slowy, Sudheer K Tonegram Gold and Les Bijoux d'Angeli. See them on my work page.

Block-print textiles and handicrafts

For Sanganeri and Bagru prints, quilts, and home decor, the story is part of the product. Customers pay more for something handmade when they can see how it's made:

  • Craft and process pages showing the blocks, the dyes and the artisans.
  • Variants that match the product: fabric, size, colour and print, without a separate listing for every combination.
  • Wholesale and bulk enquiries alongside retail. Many Jaipur makers sell to boutiques and stores abroad, and that buyer wants MOQs, a catalogue PDF and a quote, not a cart.

Craftihubs Art Mart is an art and handicraft store of mine, and Kalamohini is a traditional art and ethnic fashion brand.

Selling abroad from Jaipur

If export is part of the business, the website needs:

  • International payments in multiple currencies, with shipping calculated by country.
  • Prices that make sense abroad, set separately where needed, not just converted from INR.
  • Fast loading outside India, through a CDN and optimised images.
  • English that reads naturally, plus clear customs, duties and delivery-time information.

Heritage hotels and tourism

Hotels, havelis and tour operators lose a large cut of every booking to online travel agents. A direct-booking website with room pages, real photos, an availability and booking engine, and an incentive to book direct wins back the guests who already found you. For tour operators, I can build AI itinerary tools of the kind I built for Explore Fusion, which plans trips using the Groq AI SDK.

Working together

I'm based in Lucknow and work with Jaipur businesses remotely. For a catalogue-heavy business, the first step is usually agreeing on how products are structured (categories, variants, specifications), because everything else depends on it.

Questions Jaipur businesses ask

WooCommerce or Shopify for a jewellery store?

Both work. WooCommerce gives more control over complex variants and has no per-order fee. Shopify is simpler to run. I'll recommend one based on your catalogue and who runs the store day to day.

Can the site handle both retail and wholesale customers?

Yes, with separate wholesale pricing or a quote flow for trade buyers alongside the normal retail checkout.

Can you help with product photography?

I'll set the image specs and shot list for your photographer and handle optimisation so the site stays fast. The photography itself is best done by a local product photographer.

Other cities are in the India guide. Taking your Jaipur business online? Let's talk.
